Jason X. Liu

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering at Stanford supported by an NIH T32 Award and a Stanford Bio-X Seed Grant. My research focuses on protein language modeling and reinforcement learning, and I am advised by Profs. Grant Rotskoff and Alex Dunn.

Previously, I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Princeton as a Gordon Y.S. Wu Fellow. My research focused on the physics of soft and biological matter, and my advisors were Profs. Rodney Priestley and Craig Arnold. I also worked on lipid nanoparticle engineering in the lab of Prof. Robert Prud'homme.

Before that, I completed my BA in Physics at UC Berkeley, during which I was a student researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Lab, advised by Dr. Andrea Schmidt.

I am very grateful for the tremendous support of all my past and current advisors.
